Sustainable(ish) Food
We all need to eat, and all of our food has a carbon and a water footprint, so it makes sense that this is an area where we can all have an impact and take some simple steps to reduce our own carbon footprints.
If you're expecting to be berated for eating meat or liking a splash of milk in your cuppa, rest assured that's not going to happen. Yes, we all need to cut back on meat and dairy. Yes, a vegan diet is hugely less carbon intensive than one with meat in, but as with all things sustainable living, food is a complex issue and it's very rarely black and white (or green and white...).
If you love being vegan, yay! If you're not sure it's for you, there is still lots you can do to eat more sustainably, and one thing we can ALL do is to tackle food waste (did you know that 50% of all food waste occurs in the home?!).
Check out the blog posts and podcasts below, as well as the challenges/ideas on the right - is there one you could pick to work on first?
