[024] – 5(ISH) MINUTE GUIDE – SUSTAINABLE(ISH) DAYS OUT

It's half-term here in my corner of the UK, so I'm sharing with you some ideas for easy swaps and tips to help make your days out more sustainable(fish). Please do still listen if you're kid free, as most of the tips apply to grown ups too (maybe not the tantrums in the gift shop. Hopefully.)

Top Tips for Sustainable(ish) Days Out

  • Remember your re-usables! Water bottles, coffee cups, straws - pop them in your bag so you're not caught out
  • Pack your own snacks (in reusable containers!)
  • check
    Take a picnic
  • Plan in a car free day - take the train or bus, or walk for adventures closer to home
  • Do a #2minutelitterpick - whether you're at the park, the beach, or just out for a walk
  • Avoid the gift shop - easier said than done I know, but even if you can't avoid the shop itself, try to talk your kids down from buying yet more plastic tat.
