The Big Green Bus Tour!
'Eco-plans' fallen by the wayside over the summer?
Feel like you need a re-boot?
Prefer September for making changes and resolutions to the traditional January 1st?
Come and join us on a (virtual) (eco) tour!
The re-boot or kick start you need to go from wanting to be a bit greener and feeling guilty, to actually making some easy changes.
Come and jump aboard the Big Green Fun Bus* for 5 days of 80's cheese on the bus radio**, all the snacks, tea on tap, maybe even a cheeky G&T***, and a magical mystery tour that will see your slash your carbon footprint!
Wave your little darlings back off to school (or not, if you don't have little darlings, or your little darlings aren't so little anymore), ignore the post holidays state of the house, drag along your bestie, and take the first steps from eco-worrier to eco-warrior (mung beans not necessary...).
* there is no actual tour - it's all online. There's no big green fun bus, only a brilliant FB group where we can all pretend we're footloose and fancy free.
** you'll have to supply your own tunes, but I will be taking requests for a playlist...
*** you'll have to provide your own snacks, tea, and as many cheeky G&T's as you can handle.
This is all a hilarious analogy for spending 5 days taking some easy eco action....
The tour bus departs on Monday 12th September at 9am sharp!
We'll spend 5 days together aboard the Big Green Fun Bus (Facebook group) on a magical mystery tour - your itinerary for each day will be released at 8am that morning, just after our continental breakfast at the overnight stop, and before we climb back on board the bus for another (eco) action packed day...
Each day there'll be a series of optional tasks to do, and points to be won!
And points mean.... absolutely fuck all! Other than the glory of topping the league table and running up and down the central aisle of the bus calling everyone else losers. But there might be spot prizes, so don't get complacent if the lure of the leaderboard isn't enough to urge you into action.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF...
THIS ISN'T FOR YOU IF...
If you're already on the greener end of the spectrum, you're more than welcome to still join the big green fun bus, but you might find that you've already 'been there and done that' (if I could give you a t-shirt I would, because you're clearly doing awesome things, thank you!) and there's nothing new for you to see and do on the tour.
Having said that, it's going to be a shed-load of fun, and a great way to connect with fellow knackered mums who want to do their bit! Just please don't leave us a bad review on Trip Advisor* if you find you've been forced to over-indulge in snacks and gin as the scheduled activities haven't been for you.
* We're not on Trip Advisor. There is no actual trip.
Loving the sound of all this..?

FAQs
No, but if you're not, you may be invited up to the front of the bus as some point during the duration of the tour to share your secrets with the rest of us.
No. It's all online. Grab your ticket (sign up) and you'll get an e-mail with all the details of how to join the FB group, and everything else to you need.
In my head it's an amusing analogy, and who among us isn't craving 5 days away from the kids, the housework and other responsibilities, 'on tour' with our besties?
Once you sign up, you'll be invited into the FB group where you'll find a group of brilliant, but probably slightly knackered, ordinary people like you, who want to 'do their bit' for the planet, and their kids futures, but who aren't really sure what to do, where to start, or if they can really make a difference.
Each day, there will be three 'activities', which can be completed from the comfort of your own home. They're all carefully chosen to be short on time, and big on impact, so you get the best bang for your buck. There are points awarded for each activity completed, and we'll be measuring our carbon footprints before and after the challenge.
Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
I hope you do! I'll share with you all the Sustainable(ish) resources at your fingertips to help you carry on making a difference, including The Sustainable(ish) Clubhouse!
