Our homemade Valentine’s…
As I said in the “Say it with (British) flower’s” post recently, Valentine’s Day tends to pass us by a bit, as it is preceeded by the Lovely Hubby’s birthday, and I am then usually all out of ideas for either presents or extravagant meals.
This year, I had given it very little thought, and then I saw this fab post on Eco Thrifty Living, which not only gives you an easy, quick and cheap (yet thoughtful and love-filled at the same time, obviously) present idea, but also shows you how to package it in an empty loo roll! Needless to say, I had to give it a go…
And here they are packaged up in their upcycled box, alongside the card I made:
Not to be outdone, hubby had a couple of presents for me…

He made this card for me at Christmas, and it is a montage of a map of our Scotland trip, and some of the pictures. He found a frame for it, and wrapped it up to give again!!
And he plundered my crafting books, and made this giant paper pendant! (I think it is from one of Kirstie Allsop’s books)
Hubby and BigSmall were busy at the weekend, doing ‘secret stuff’ and BigSmall very proudly presented me with his own handmade Valentine’s card for me:
Complete with decorated interior, and this fabby picture of “an angel riding a caterpillar”…
So there it is-our handmade, homemade Valentine’s. And I can honestly say I think our cards and pressies were better than anything we could have bought 🙂
