Clothes for Children…
On a pre-Christmas search for a stir-fry book, I ventured into The Lions Charity Bookshop in Warminster, having never been in before.
And it is AMAZING!! A real Aladdin’s cave of books, all sorts of books, old and new, novels, non-fiction, children’s books, reference books, a book-lover’s paradise!
I not only found the Stir-fy book I went in looking for (a present for my Dad) but also this little beauty here:

Clothes For Children-Mkaing New from Old by Maureen Goldsworthy-1st published 1980
It has some real gems inside, like:
- The fairly classic Christening Gown from Wedding Dress-just look at the train on that!

- Beach Anorak from Stretchable Towelling Dressing Gown

- Pullover from Sweater

- Jeans from Jeans-they have actually turned the old jeans inside out…

- And I think these are my favourites, ponchos!

Whilst I’m not sure I will actually inflict these specific re-makes on the Smalls, the principles are sound, and I will definitely be using some of these ideas-lucky Smalls!!
